GCFD Food Drive
2019 GCFD Holiday Food Drive: Help Us Collect 130,000 Pounds of Food!
BOMA/Chicago has partnered with the Greater Chicago Food Depository (GCFD) since 2008 for the annual holiday food drive. During this time, we have provided 915,412 pounds of food to hungry Chicagoans.
Over 160 BOMA/Chicago members have signed up to participate in the 2019 Holiday Food Drive. Our goal is to collect 130,000 pounds of food that will go directly to those facing hunger throughout Chicago. The food drive will run through December 6.
A full list of participating buildings can be found by clicking here. Tenants and the community at large are encouraged to make physical and financial donations. You can visit building lobbies to donate food or you can click on a building link to make financial donations ($1 =3.6 pounds; $1 = 3 meals).
Now it is time to fill those GCFD barrels and bags to the brim with non-perishable foods. Many members are also accepting monetary donations. You can help by spreading the word about this drive to tenants and our Chicago community. Download our GCFD Food Drive Tips for Success document to learn how to engage tenants and increase donations.
