Congratulations to Four BOMA/Chicago Lifetime Members!

On special occasions, the Board of Directors confers Life Membership to recognize and thank members for their service to the Association. Each honor is given in recognition of “exemplary contributions to BOMA/Chicago and to the welfare of its members and the assets they own and manage.”

To date, only 14 individuals have received this distinction, and at this year's Annual Meeting, we presented this prestigious honor to four more exceptional leaders.

Our first Member, Bob Six, has been a cornerstone of BOMA/Chicago for decades. Serving on the Board of Directors for nine years, he held numerous leadership roles—including Treasurer, Vice President, and President from 2010 to 2012—and also served on the BOMA/Chicago Foundation Board for 15 years. A passionate advocate for education, Bob chaired the Education Committee for nine years. Beyond Chicago, Bob served as Chair and Chief Elected Officer of BOMA International and was named a BOMA Fellow in 2021, the organization’s highest distinction.

Harvey Camins has been one of BOMA/Chicago’s longest-serving and most dedicated leaders, serving on the Board of Directors for over three decades, including as President from 2004 to 2006. Throughout his more than three decades of involvement, Harvey has contributed his expertise and leadership in countless ways—serving on the Board of the BOMA/Chicago PAC, chairing the Nominating Committee, and leading the Task Force that established the BOMA/Chicago Foundation. He also generously volunteered his professional services as a broker for BOMA/Chicago’s office leases over many years. Since 2009, Harvey has continued to guide the organization’s advocacy efforts as Chair of the Tax Committee.

Debbie Zsigray was a driving force behind BOMA/Chicago’s communications and member engagement for more than 15 years. She began serving on the Communications Committee in 2009 and led it as Chair from 2017 until her retirement in 2025. During her tenure, Debbie played an instrumental role in advancing the Association’s communications strategy, helping to establish BOMA/Chicago’s Economic Impact Study, modernize its website, and launch the BOMA/Chicago Briefs. She also chaired the Gold Circle Awards Task Force, where her leadership and creativity helped shape, expand, and continually strengthen one of the Association’s most celebrated recognition programs.

And last but not least, Susan Hammer is a long-time champion for education and excellence within BOMA/Chicago and the commercial real estate industry. As Chair of the association’s Education Committee for 14 years, she played a pivotal role in expanding professional development opportunities—helping to create the Full Designation Scholarship, increase enrollment in BOMA/Chicago classes, launch the Foundations of Real Estate Management course in Chicago, and establish an RPA Mentorship Program. In addition, Susan chaired the TOBY Committee for more than 12 years, during which she elevated the competitiveness and quality of Chicago’s buildings and introduced the popular TOBY Best Practices seminar. Susan’s leadership and dedication to advancing the industry have also been recognized by BOMA International, where she is also a prestigious BOMA Fellow.

Congratulations to our Lifetime Members, whose vision, commitment, and service have helped shape the course and future of our association.
