Historic Impact Review Completed for State/Lake Elevated Station Modernization Project
This Spring, BOMA/Chicago participated as a consulting party for the Federal Section 106 Review for the State/Lake Elevated Station Modernization Project. The purpose of the 106 review process is to determine the impact of federally funded projects upon historic properties. BOMA/Chicago is proud to represent out members throughout this process and is excited for the benefits this $180 million project will provide downtown upon its estimated completion in 2024.
The historic districts, historic properties, and areas of potential impact studied for the Section 106 Review are illustrated in the attached document.
The resulting review process found that the proposed project is not expected to adversely impact the historic value of any of our member buildings.
