RPA/FMA Real Estate Investment and Finance Class: January 8 - 23

Real Estate Investment and Finance is a required course for both the RPA and FMA designations. This class will be offered again in January 2020.

Course Description: Real Estate Investment and Finance
Through this course you will learn to take charge of real estate investments in order to maximize the value of a property. You will develop knowledge about basic financial concepts as they relate to real estate, including valuation, analysis, taxation, depreciation, and life-cycle costing. Similarly, you will learn to evaluate real estate investments and to develop budgets that estimate net operating income. You will study the income capitalization approach and cover property taxation costs and strategies to offset these costs. You will also gain the skills to conduct discounted cash flow analyses and calculate net present value and internal rate of return. This course features exercises that require the basic use of a financial calculator.

RPA/FMA Course Fees
BOMA/Chicago Member: $1,200
Nonmember: $1,450
Designation Course Enrollment Fee (required by BOMI): $100 (pay each course if not enrolling in the RPA or FMA Designation program)
RPA or FMA Designation Enrollment Fee (required by BOMI): $225 (one time only)

Exam Information
Each student enrolled in designation courses will have six months from the course registration date to schedule and complete the course exam at the specified computer testing center.  More information will be provided with registration materials or you can visit www.bomi.org.
