Enhanced RPA/FMA Required Course: High-Performance Sustainable Building Practices

High-Performance Sustainability (Practices) is one of three required courses needed to earn the BOMI-HP designation. The other two required courses are High-Performance Sustainability (Investments) and High-Performance Sustainability (Principles). HP Practices was last offered in March 2018.

Course Description: High-Performance Sustainable Building Practices
This course identifies the critical no- and low-cost sustainable initiatives that every building professional can start implementing now. Throughout this course, you will learn how to effectively optimize and apply sustainable best practices-that cover every aspect of the built environment-to drive operational efficiencies for a high-performance building.

Key topic areas include: implementing high-performance sustainable initiatives, building interior practices, sustainable facades and roofs systems, HVAC and commissioning processes, high-performance lighting implementation, building electrical usages, durables and consumables incentives, building water operations, renewable energy methods, sustainable maintenance procedures, tenant engagement approaches and op-ex finance and portfolio management.

High-Performance Course Fees
BOMA/Chicago Member: $1,200
Nonmember: $1,350
There is no enrollment fee for those who have already earned an RPA or FMA
Enrollment Fee: $100 (one-time fee if you have never enrolled in an RPA or FMA designation program)

Exam Information
Each student enrolled in designation courses will have six months from the course registration date to schedule and complete the course exam at the specified computer testing center.  More information will be provided with registration materials or you can visit www.bomi.org.
