RPA/FMA Required Course: Environmental Health and Safety Issues

Environmental Health and Safety Issues is a required course for the RPA and FMA designations. This class was last held in May/June 2017 and will be held next in the spring of 2019.

Course Description: Environmental Health and Safety Issues
Ensuring workplace and employee health and safety are issues at the center stage of today's property industry. As a property professional, this course will help you develop and manage proactive environmental/occupational health and safety programs, comply with regulatory standards and guidelines, and assess when to obtain technical assistance.

Key topic areas include local, state, and federal regulations, environmental site assessments, hazard communication, emergency response, asbestos and lead management, ergonomics, indoor air quality, hazardous waste, audits, recordkeeping and more.

RPA/FMA Course Fees
BOMA/Chicago Member: $1,200
Nonmember: $1,450
Designation Course Enrollment Fee (required by BOMI): $100 (pay each course if not enrolling in the RPA or FMA Designation program)
RPA or FMA Designation Enrollment Fee (required by BOMI): $225 (one time only)

Exam Information
Each student enrolled in designation courses will have six months from the course registration date to schedule and complete the course exam at the specified computer testing center.  More information will be provided with registration materials or you can visit www.bomi.org.
