RPA Required Course Budgeting & Accounting Starts in September

Budgeting and Accounting is a required course for the RPA designation. This class will be held over two weeks in 2017 on September 11, 12, 13, 18, 19 and 20 from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. at 115 South LaSalle. Course Description: Budgeting and Accounting
Budgeting and Accounting features applications and problems you can use to create building and facilities' budgets. In this course, you will have the opportunity to apply concepts within the real property and facilities context. Follow the accounting process and creation of a budget from start to finish, learning such valuable skills as how to interpret financial statements, annual reports, and statements of cash flows. Learn practical skills such as how to compile lease abstracts and prepare rent rolls. The course includes valuable exercises pertaining to computing productivity ratios, depreciation, ending cash balances, preparing income and expense budgets, and explaining budget variances.

RPA/FMA Course Fees
BOMA/Chicago Member: $1,200
Nonmember: $1,450
Designation Course Enrollment Fee (required by BOMI): $100 (pay each course if not enrolling in the RPA or FMA Designation program)
RPA or FMA Designation Enrollment Fee (required by BOMI): $225 (one time only)

Exam Information
Each student enrolled in designation courses will have six months from the course registration date to schedule and complete the course exam at the specified computer testing center.  More information will be provided with registration materials or you can visit www.bomi.org.
