Conflict is not only a part of everyday business; it is a part of life.  The word alone can conjure up feelings of failure, anxiety, or rejection because most people believe that conflict should be avoided.

Conflict is a disagreement or opposition which occurs when individuals or groups perceive a threat to their needs, interests, or concerns.  Generally, people respond to perceived threats rather than real issues.  When you work to understand what the real threats are, you can develop solutions and constructively manage conflict and your business more effectively.
