Position Name: Assistant Property Manager
Reporting to the General Manager, the Assistant Manager will be responsible for assisting in the management of the day to day aspects of running a mid-size office building in downtown Chicago. Due to the nature of the job, the Assistant Property Manger will need to be highly organized and able to multi-task proficiently and prioritize work. More specifically, you will be in the front line of tenants, staff and vendors; support the planning, budgeting and control of operating and capital expenditures; assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and monthly variance reports. Support the preparation of monthly accruals, accounts receivable and accounts payable, including collection of rent, coding and payment of vendor invoices. In addition, must be able to work with minimum supervision and be proactive in completing daily tasks within stated deadlines. The ideal Assistant Property Manager must bring a positive attitude to the team every day.

Responsible for managing a portfolio of facilities of a large investment property, owner-occupied campus, corporate client with multiple locations, or a major high rise facility in an efficient and value enhancing manner that is consistent with the overall strategic asset plan. Accountable for all business, financial, and management aspects of the assigned properties including preparing, implementing and adhering to the approved strategic asset plan, budgets for the properties, developing and maintaining strong working relationships with occupants, and supervising key building staff/employees. Usually leads a team of Property, Office, Project, and Facility managers and which may also include Critical Operations Managers, Directors of Engineering, and Chief Engineers.

Project Managers are the team leaders of the project execution team. They are responsible for bringing projects on-line on time, within budget, and with a high level of customer satisfaction. This includes scheduling and coordinating all construction resources, internal and external, necessary for project execution and financial management of the project. Our internal resources include application engineers, programmers, project engineers and field engineers. Our external resources include product procurement from our vendors, and negotiating and managing our electrical subcontractors. Financial management includes billings, change orders, cash flow, estimate at completion and revenue forecasting.
