About
BOMA/Chicago: The Voice of Chicago's Office Building Industry Since 1902
Welcome to the Building Owners and Managers Association of Chicago (BOMA/Chicago). For more than a century, BOMA/Chicago has supported the people who own, operate and manage Chicago's office buildings. BOMA/Chicago's members represent approximately 260 member buildings and 170 companies that provide services to commercial office buildings. Member building make up more than 80 percent of downtown Chicago's rentable building area and nearly 100 percent of rentable space in Class A buildings downtown.
We provide vital resources that help our members advance Chicago's commercial real estate industry each and every day. From continuing education to labor negotiations to cost-effective energy efficiency strategies, we equip our members with the tools and information necessary to confront the challenges and opportunities of our ever-changing industry.
Our members also play a vital role in ensuring the economic viability of downtown Chicago. BOMA/Chicago's member buildings house more than 250,000 jobs and nearly 8,000 local, national and international companies. By protecting the interests of the owners and managers of these buildings, BOMA/Chicago also supports the businesses that are housed in them--businesses that require quality office space and quality service. BOMA/Chicago buildings support local schools and public services through more than $650 million in annual property taxes.
